Your first pet Hammy Gus - Feb 3rd 2019 - Mar 3 2021

Our Superhero Hammy Gus is no more. Tearfully, we buried him under the protection of the Banyan tree that faces our apartment.

Hammy has been the perpetual delight of anyone that visited our home. His tiny little body belied his big personality. He modeled a fair bit in his youth, did some product positioning to denote scale and was as affectionate as most pets in the industry go.

But most of all, he sensed my reluctance to treat him as a real pet and turned me around with his little kisses and his love for walnuts. Hamsters of his breed live at best to a year and a half or max 2years. Hammy passed away at 2years and 3 months. I reckon he loved us too ❤️
